Analyzing and Assessing
Before treating waste or use alternative fuels it is important to know the materials for their suitability in the clinker burning process with regard to chemistry, emission and environmental impact as well as its behavior in the burning process.
Assessing the pyroprocess
Based on the technical prerequisites, some particular techniques for the RDF use in pre-calciners and rotary kiln main burners will be presented, mainly featuring an intelligent fuel mix management, additional measures such as mechanical or thermal pre-treatment by the Step Combustor.
Retention time and carrying conditions in a standard calciner are not sufficient for the safe burnout of such coarse and slow-reacting alternative fuels.
In some cases main burner, pre-calciner or even process parameter have to be adoptioned in case of direct feeding into the established process.
